Guest Lectures
Throughout the academic year the FSR offers companies the opportunity give a guest lecture during seminars at the masters Financial Economics and Accounting, Auditing & Control and Bachelor-3 seminars in April of the academic year. After a guest lecture, an informal drink can be arranged in order for students and companies to get to know each other in an informal way.

The objective of guest lecturers is to add practical insight during a theoretical seminar or theoretical course. Most academic courses are in-depth and most of the time students are wondering what the practical value is of everything students learn and discuss about. Therefore the FSR steps in to close this gap and through the support of a guest lecture most of the vagueness is removed.

During a guest lecture the FSR invites one or two guest speakers from one or two different companies. Both speakers will give a presentation of approximately 45 minutes and an additional 15 minutes Q&A. After these two hours, an informal drink can be arranged so a company can meet the students personally and students can further ask questions regarding the topic of the lecture or career opportunities.

In order to assure high-content of the presentation the guest speaker will be in touch with the lecturer so the topic can be discussed further and the lecturer can assure that students will understand and enjoy the guest speaker.

If you have any interest in giving a guest lecture you can contact our commissioner external relations at external@fsr.nu for further information. This holds for lecturers and companies.
