Full Time Analyst Opportunity - IBD Netherlands
The Investment Banking Division has a fully staffed office in Amsterdam and is dedicated to the Dutch market. After a record year in 2018, we are determined to continue the success into 2019. To support future envisaged growth of the Dutch franchise, relocation to a bigger office in Amsterdam is scheduled to take place towards the end of Q1 2019. Concurrently, we are looking for two Full Time Analysts to join the Dutch Investment Banking team in 2019. Including the two new Full Time Analysts, the Dutch team will consist of 9 bankers, supplemented with 1 or 2 interns.
Analysts at Barclays work as full members of project teams on advisory and financing projects for our clients. Most assignments involve financial and strategic analysis for projects in M&A, Leveraged Finance, Equity & Debt Financing and Risk Management. As an Analyst you will develop an invaluable skill set of modelling, accounting and valuation techniques in the products offered by Barclays. Additional aspects of projects include participation in due diligence sessions, preparing marketing materials for investors and clients and conducting market and industry analyses.
Graduate Analyst roles offer the opportunity to join our Initial Training Programme (ITP). The ITP is an intensive, London based programme of c. 2 months, which gives candidates an excellent understanding of financial markets, as well as the Barclays’ products, instruments and services. This creates a strong platform on which to build a more specialised expertise and helps you build relationships throughout our firm from day one.

What we are looking for:
- University Degree, preferably Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Maths
- Distinctive academic and extra-curricular success
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Exceptional communication skills with potential to grow into a client facing role
- Fluent in Dutch and strong English language skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team based environment
- Willingness and capacity to handle a challenging and demanding job
- Previous internship experience in investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting is highly appreciated, but not required
