Then join our Bloomberg Masterclass, where you will learn about the usage of the terminal by experts from the Erasmus Data Service Centre!

What is Bloomberg?

Bloomberg is a financial database that can be used by students at the Erasmus University Rotterdam for scientific and educational purposes. The Bloomberg Masterclass focuses on students with limited experience with using Bloomberg and are interested in analysing financial market data. During the two-hour masterclass, students will learn how to navigate the Bloomberg terminal and use basic Bloomberg data-gathering functions in Excel. The participants will work with Bloomberg on a computer while following instructions on a big screen. The skills taught in this class can be extremely valuable for data analysis to conduct research for your thesis. You can sign up for one of the two sessions, depending on which time would suit you best. 

Furthermore, you get the opportunity to obtain a Bloomberg Market Concept (BMC) certificate for free (the usual price for students is $149) in your own time!

EVENT OVERVIEW

• Event period: 8th of May, session 1 (14.00 - 15.30) and session 2 (15.30 - 17.00)
• Registration: First-come, first-serve. The first 15 students per session are assured of a spot, after which we will work with a waiting list. 
• Location: Polak Data Centre (Polak Building, Y1-7)
• Target group: All BSc and MSc students with an interest in financial data
• The masterclass will be held in English
